Orientation

An orientation session will be held for all entering students at the start of each  term to outline departmental policies and procedures, safety procedures, resources available through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, and funding opportunities. The orientation session is hosted by the Graduate Advisor with support from the Graduate Secretary and Graduate Student Representative.

First Meeting with the Graduate Advisor
The first meeting of student and supervisor with the Graduate Program Advisor will be scheduled within two weeks of the student entering the Graduate Program, where an assessment will be made of the student’s general knowledge of pharmacology by reviewing prior course work completed by the student. Students (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) who have not taken undergraduate pharmacology courses prior to entering graduate studies in the department are encouraged  to complete a pharmacology course  in the first year of their program.
